Today's giveaway is super special thanks to the fine folks at MobyMax.
I was recently given a Moby Tablet to review and use with my kids. As a loyal Apple girl married to a die-hard Apple fanboy, I was a bit skeptical to use an Android device. I have to say, my skepticism quickly faded away as soon as I started to use the tablet. There was a bit of a learning curve, just because I wasn't used to the platform and operating system, but it wasn't a steep learning curve and I was hooked in no time. The tablet is a great size, lightweight, and feels really good in your hands. I found the screen to be remarkably responsive, bright and clear, with intuitive icons.
The tablet connects to the internet through wi-fi and can also access other web-based programs, but it's designed to work specifically with the suite of Moby Max curriculum apps. I was impressed with the choice of activities and their quality. I experimented with the Test Prep questions for second grade and it was right on target with my expectations and our test specs.
It was quick and easy to register my kids and they can access their learning activities on the Moby Tablet or our classroom computers. The kids really enjoyed the activities and had no problem at all working the tablet. The price is right too. The Moby Max tablet is only $69.00!
I'm so pleased to be able to give away one Moby Max tablet and a class subscription to Moby Max curriculum to one lucky winner. To enter, leave a comment on this blog post and tell me what you think about Moby Max. Winner will be chosen tomorrow night at Random.org.
Check back tomorrow to see if you're the winner!

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean by learning curve- I was a pc girl all the way (still am really) and I just switched to Apple for school. I switched schools and am now in a STEM school, so they are uber tech savvy. I have been learning a lot about Apple this year!!! Takes awhile to figure out the other systems. I am a 1-2 combo teacher and would love to use it in my classroom.
ReplyDeleteMobyMax is a regular attendee in my classroom but with only 30 iPads and 31 students a tablet would be the perfect fit!

ReplyDeleteMoby Max has been great for toe-dipping into online intervention. I went from trying it out in my class with a few tablet to now purchasing several online subscriptions to reading and math sites and piloting an online intervention program for my district. Moby Max is just so easy to operate and for students to use. I bet the tablet is wonderful, since it's made to use on their website as well as on the internet in general. I have so many students who don't have this kind of technology at home, but are tested on the internet for our accountability assessment. It's wonderful that Moby Max made these tablets in a teacher's price range!
ReplyDeleteThese look great!!
