Word Study and Spelling Solution!

Spelling has always been one area of my curriculum that I knew needed to be improved. I've tried just about every published spelling program out there along with my own versions, but there was always something that didn't quite fit for me with all of the different approaches, so I finally decided to make my own program from start to finish. And here it is!  My baby, my year-in-the-making, classroom tested, research based, Word Study and Spelling Solution!

This approach gives your students time to work with one specific phonics pattern or word structure so they fully understand it, can master it, and learn to apply it to other unknown words in both reading and writing long after that week's list is finished.  The program itself is easy to implement, provides meaningful homework practice for the students, and everything you need as a teacher to make spelling relevant and manageable!

It seems long but I really over-explained everything just the way I'd want to someone to explain it to me including a rationale for each piece as well.  I'll be back with a few more posts to explain each piece a little more thoroughly.
